Hoping you can help - bridal shower venue

Hi!  My brother is getting married in November and his fiancé has requested her bridal shower be in NYC. I live in PA and the MOH lives in CA so we have no idea of where to start. We were thinking of doing a brunch for a maximum of 20 people.  Brooklyn Winery was a bit pricy.  I have to make calls to Victory Garden Café and Jane.  Can anyone give other recommendations?  Thank you in advance!

SOHO and the Village has pretty cool restaurants also.
46th street between 8-10th avenue have a ton of restaurants that have back rooms for private events.

Calle ocho has the best brunch in the city, and they are big enough to acomodate big groups
