Wedding Woes

TGIF

What's up for the weekend?  Last night I signed the kids up for swim and bought myself a new suit.  Shoot me now.

We've got a busy one.

Today is garage sale and bunco.

Tomorrow garage sale, car servicing, and cake and ice cream at MIL's.  I would love to fake sick, but that's not fair to DH

Sunday is a niece's soccer game and tee ball.

Monday we're going to visit my mom and heading back for more tee ball.

Tuesday ct scan.

Re: TGIF

  • Tonight:  not much...I may try to start cleaning out/organizing my kitchen and packing stuff away. (I keep saying that...Ha.)

Tomorrow: We're going to an OOT concert.  The IL's are taking the kids.  YAY for alone time.

Sunday: Driving home and getting the kids.  We need to get home early enough for the kiddo to do his weekly mowing job at the neighbors and our yard needs to be mowed something fierce.  All this rain this week has turned it into a jungle.
  • We have baseball tonight and this weekend.  Son is having a friend spend the night tomorrow night.

I'm skeptical about the game tonight because we got a lot of rain overnight and it's still raining.

My friend wants me to go to this pure barre workout class with her, and I envision a pulled muscle in my future. I'm not sure I can get my leg on the bar, let alone work out on it. We shall see.

Sat, I'm doing wedding stuff with my sister, and that's about it.

    Weekend things:

-Race tomorrow AM. I feel about 65% ready.  I will just go, and do it.  I want to blow it out of the park, and sometimes my body goes for it.  Not sure though.

-H is working some messed up hours, 8am-12pm, 4pm-8pm.  Tomorrow:  4pm-8am Sunday.  16 hours.  Then back home, then back 4pm-12am Sunday night.  I feel horrible for him.  I'll see him maybe 4 hours this weekend.

-I get to do SIL's prom makeup and I'm excited and also thinking I'll suck at it.  I know I won't, I need to get over it.
  • I did my sister's prom and wedding make up.  :)  It's so fun.
  • I don't think I have anything for the weekend.  That's good, b/c I'll probably spend it at the computer doing stuffs and reading.  I'm reading Carl Sagan's "Demon Haunted World" and actually really enjoying it.
  • DH is picking me up from work and we are headed out of town to visit friends.  Can't wait!
(I wish I had asked for PTO so we could leave earlier but boss is gone and can't approve - boo!)

  • Today (and, shit, yesterday too) I'm spending a mind numbing amount of time looking at hundreds of coded terms trying to figure out how to reconcile our coding with another client's coding decisions. I think I am going to need a shopping break.

Since I'm liking this WFH business, thinking of getting some decent workout clothes. A step up from PJs, I can leave the house and look reasonably acceptable, but if I feel the need to have Jillian kick my ass for half an hour, I'm ready at a second's notice.

Aside from the usual errands, I'm hoping this weekend I can get my new desk assembled, maybe tape off the walls and ceiling so we can start painting the office next weekend.

Tonight - I get to go to a concert all by myself!  OH JOY!
Tomorrow - DD's ice skating lesson in the morning, followed immediately by her last soccer game of the season, then we're going to stop by our town's festival for lunch, and then ballet class.  Saturday evening we'll probably all crash and watch TV or a movie at home.
Sunday - no plans until the evening, when we have a bday party for my step-dad.  We're having fajitas, so that makes me really happy.  :)
  • @auntflo, i sent you a message a bit ago, have you seen it yet?
  • Flo, get a cocktail and enjoy yourself. Is the hubs going to drop you off and pick you up? If he is, then have two.:)

No - I'm on my own completely.  I'll be driving downtown, finding a place to park, walking by  myself to the venue, then standing around listening to the band, feeling awkward the whole time, then walking back to my car alone in the dark.  And he sees nothing wrong with any of this.
I'm hoping for a thunderstorm and/or tornado.  (It's an outdoor concert.)
  • Today: Finishing packing, doing laundry and watching Forrest Gump before leaving for the airport. My flight to Seattle (via Chicago) leaves at 5:25 and I'll get to Seattle after 11 tonight.

Tomorrow: Pick up my rental car, drive to Redmond and then to Issaquah for my best friend's wedding!! I'm so excited!!

Sunday: Fly back to Nashville, get home after 10 at night.

  • Flo, I understand. It's not always fun doing things by yourself, but think of it as an adventure. You know, be that chick dancing in the aisle all by yourself.:)

Tonight is my niece's talent show, she is singing! Then likely something to celebrate, finish off the night, etc. Likely milkshakes or froyo.

Tomorrow, we have a fundraiser breakfast to go eat at, then kites in the park. Then home to clean/organize. We are switching rooms around, moving our computer to our family room, putting the my sewing machine and books in the nursery and moving DD to the former office.

Sunday is church then hopefully nothing. Weather is supposed to be cooler, so we are looking forward to that.
