Alerting guests to a password on our wedding site

I have an abusive mother with whom I've just cut ties. In order to keep my special day special and drama free, I've put in a password on my wedding site. We haven't sent out invites yet, and I want to include something therein giving our guests the password. What wording would be good?

You can add an insert that says:

    Please visit our website at:

    www.awesomewedding.com

    Password: abc123*&^

     Wedding Countdown Ticker

  • Yeah, I agree with the person above me. It's easy and simple and people will get the point. This way you don't have to go through any explaining about the situation.
  • I've gotten invites with the insert that says "Wedding site: www.werule.com, Password:apples3", and thought nothing of it. Simple and easy. Just make sure the password isn't overly complicated and that it's printed very clearly. I got it in fancy script font once and could not figure out what it was.

Can you be sure that your mother won't get the password from an invited guest if you include it in the invitation?

As time-consuming as it may be to give each guest, couple, or family their own password, that may be the only way you can make sure your mother doesn't get it from someone who's not supposed to give it to her.
  • just make sure the password is simple to remember.  would go simply alpha.
