We discussed dates the day we got engaged (which was a little over a week ago). We don't want or need to wait, already planned to marry sometime this year, we have goals to procreate and buy a house next year, so we really wanted a fall wedding and don't want to wait a year and a half. So we also wanted just a simple restaurant wedding. I had a place in mind who does a lot of events and lots of lovely trees that will hopefully be fall colors. Excellent food and atmosphere. So we went this past weekend with our parents (who also met for the first time) and we booked our date/venue! 10/11/14. FI says he likes it b/c he will remember it...being 10/11.
I added some pics..the outside and then two different angles of the room we're using. It has access to a private covered deck. I love the lamps that look like flowers. There's lots of really cool ironwork throughout, there's one pic of the bar/entrance area.
