I've gotta say to all the OMHs on here, and the not yet married regulars, you all are so awesome and level headed and honestly have a lot of patience for stupidity.  I have learned a lot from all of you and I really wish that people would take good advice when it is given.  And I really can't stand the comments like, "Why are you on here if you're married?!" because that's just dumb and I would hate to see TK without you all.  I'm not leaving TK or anything, just wanted to show my appreciation.  That is all.

One of the reasons I roll my eyes so hard when noobs get all OMG GO TO THE NEST ALREADY to the married people is that it's really, really stupid to ask for wedding advice from people who've never been married. And while there are plenty of people on the boards who are getting remarried, having a vow renewal, or are part of someone else's wedding, there are just a LOT of us who've never been through this before. I am relieved that there are folks on here who can give advice based on experience.

And also come on, y'all are really awesome and fun to e-hang-out with.

I also like the different perspectives that people offer here. I'm not referring to etiquette but to how to handle different situations.

I thought I knew a lot about wedding planning after helping my sister and a few friends with their planning. I wasn't wrong- but I only knew how to plan very similar weddings. FI and I want something different, less formal, more laid back.

Knotters have been helpful in things ranging from how to decorate within budget, what's truly necessary at a wedding, and how to handle family. It's also incredibly helpful to get a reality check when needed. This is the kind of feedback that only comes from people who have been there.

Word up! And for the record, I will NEVER go on the Nest because isn't that just for, like, home decorating and shit? (I have no idea. I don't know what "marrieds" are supposed to care about according to Teh Mediaz). I'll stick around here and get solid advice, and hopefully one day give it.

My FI got tired about listening to me talk about TK. Doesn't mean my FI's not a keeper; I just think it's hard to come by.

My H always assumes I'm on TK.  He likes the crazy train wreck stories.  But he does think I spend too much time on here.  Of course the other night when he thought I was knotting, I was filling out a job application so I think he thinks if the laptop is out, that's what I'm doing.
