Unique Venue

We are planning a fall wedding and are looking for a unique venue.  I really like the Best Place at the Pabst Brewery and Hubbard Park Lodge.  Looking for more venue options.

If you are looking for unique, Old World Wisconsin comes to mind.  The Milwaukee Zoo has a few buildings for rental.  The Charles Allis museum is beautiful for a smaller group.  I believe the Lakefront & Sprecher breweries both rent out.  The Polish Center in Franklin isn't too unique, but a very nice venue.  Trimborn Farms in Greendale is a barn and yard that can be reserved. The lodge at Crystal Ridge Ski hill in Franklin can be rented and they allow ceremonies there outside.  Pier Wisconsin (Discovery Museum) and the Art Museum are two fancy/pricey venues with stunning views of Lake Michigan.

South Shore Pavillion (Milwaukee County Parks) is also beautiful and not so pricy.

And if you are having a small wedding (like under 60 people) - check out Hotel Metro (Zen on 7 - on the roof) and The Ambassador Hotel (art deco).

Another place on the lakefront, but not quite so expensive, is the War Memorial. The Milwaukee Public Museum also does weddings.

I am getting married this Saturday at Old world wisconsin! i will let you know how it goes. it is a little pricey cause u have to rent hall, tabels, chairs, lights, and of course food, and u have to go thru their caterers. but the venue is different. it is an octagon barn and u are able to rent horse and carriage or a carriage that seats up to 14 for wedding party to cruise around during cocktail hour.

I'm having my wedding at the Best Place at Pabst Brewery in August!  I thought it was so Milwaukee and different than any other wedding I've been to!  I haven't heard of anyone else getting married there, or even thinking of it yet; so just thought I'd share!!  Good luck with your search.

How are you setting up the Best Place for your wedding?  We're considering an October wedding and we're concerned that we'll have a lot of wasted space since the courtyard won't really be incorporated into our reception.  Who did you chose for catering?

We are getting married at the Red Circle Inn in Nashotah.  I love the history behind it and the rooms we are using are beautiful and unique!

As of right now we are having our ceremony in the courtyard and the reception in the Blue Ribbon Hall.  We plan on just arranging the courtyard back to just tables for people to hang out after the ceremony since it will be in August and warm.  We're not renting the extra room or courtyard though.  However, as the planning is coming along I'm starting to get nervous that the courtyard won't be big enough for the ceremony; so we may use the urban park over there instead and then just have the courtyard set up for people to hang out at.  I'm not too certain on the set up or decorations yet though.  I am pretty excited to use the boardroom table and chairs for the head table!

I'm using Infusino's catering out of Racine; best price I've found for what we wanted.  We're doing family style.

We are using the Historic Pritzlaff Building down in the third ward.  It is a very unique venue which can be used in so many ways.  Not the typical reception site, which is what we wanted.  Can't wait for May :)
