a little over 6 months out- flight reservations/website

Most of my guests live pretty close to Vegas, just a non stop Southwest flight so since Southwest just opened their reservations for November I went ahead and emailed all my guests individually today to let them know to book their flights and to give them our wedding website URL  (this is only 10 emails, it's a small group)  Since we're getting married Thanksgiving weekend flights are booking up fast.  

Turns out this was a great thing to do!   My brother immediately RSVPd via the website and sent me copies of his booked flights and hotels for him and his 3 kids 11,21,23.  I also had 3 others RSVP or call me and they're making their plans too within an hour!   I had contacted each of these VIPs to make sure they could make the date before we set it 6 months ago and there is only one couple that I'm pretty sure won't come, the rest all have contacted me already.    I'm an older first time bride so I think a lot of them never thought I'd get married so they won't miss this :-)  Gave me boost of confidence to hear from so many people that they are excited about attending!

most of our guests are on a non stop flight also on southwest:) keep looking between southwest and alaska, we have seen great deals so far!

Thats awesome @KrisLSmiley‌ ! One of our friends booked their southwest flight yesterday. So glad they finally extended the calendar.

wow, i wish it would be that easy for us. Most of our guests are travelling long haul ... 14hrs to fly, and it's going to be a mess organising people I think!

@KrisLSmiley‌ ~ what website did you use to create your wedding website URL? I am interested in doing the same but not sure how/where to start?

I used http://www.wix.com/  because I wanted to to one from scratch but there are lot's of others out there that are free too.  I put a lot of photos and links to the venues and maps etc... it was a lot of fun!  But then again I've worked with computers for years and I like that stuff.

I used wix too. it was super easy but did cost money. Although, I was willing to spend some money to not have advertisements and I didn't like some of the templates on the free websites.

@txlush yeah it cost me too, forgot to mention that. I also liked the templates better than the other free sites plus I like having my our own easy URL too.
