has anyone been to a wedding or event at the tripoli shrine on Wisconsin ave? it is unique and beautiful, but we are worried about the location.

what are you worried about in regards to the location??? is it the neighborhood that concerns you? if you are trying to be concerned for guests, you could offer a shuttle from the venue to hotels in the area...

or.... i could also recommend Humphrey Scottish Rite Masonic Center on North Van Buren??? it may also be what you are looking for in uniqueness and beauty. thats where our june wedding will be held, and we fell in love!

that's where we looked too! i loved it, but shrine has better pricing since we want reception and ceremony at the same place. i was concerned about the location since its on 30th and Wisconsin. they do have a guard on site, but i wasn't sure if guests would feel uncomfortable.

We looked at the Tripoli Shrine too and Terry said they work with The Ambassador Hotel and they offer free shuttles for the guests to go back and forth. Which is nice because I've known people to pay a couple hundred dollars for shuttle buses for their guests.

My FH was concerned about the area but the more we looked around the neighborhood there, it didn't seem too bad just run down. I agree that the price for everything at Tripoli Shrine is very reasonable, and the dome is just unbelievable gorgous.
