Industrial/Warehouse Venue downtown Akron/Canton

I know rustic wedding venues have been somewhat played out but my Fiancé and I are really looking for a unique space that suits our style. Instead of going the Barn route we are thinking of something more urban. We really want a space that has brick walls and either hardwood or cement flooring; something very industrial or at the very least historic and old. Please let us know if you think of anything that might work for us, or if you know somebody that owns property in akron or canton. We are more than willing to put a work into cleaning a place up if there potential is there! We are trying to stay within the Akron/Canton areas. Thank you!!

Here are a few links to what we like.

I commented on your other post, but you should also check out Hoover Hall in North Canton & Happy Days Lodge in Peninsula.

  • Greystone Hall in downtown Akron is a beautiful historic building.

  • Have you found anything? I am literally looking for the identical type of space in the same area.
  • What about Kozmo's Grille in Massillon? I've never been there, but it looks like a warehouse atmosphere inside from what I can see and their website says they have banquet rooms. Their site also says, "Kozmo's Grille is Massillons premier dining, banquet and catering facility. Housed in a 170-year old historical building with original brick walls, tin ceilings and solid wood floors, it offers the most discriminating guest warm and comfortable surroundings without all the fuss and cost of many of the clubs and other banquet facilities."

I hope this helps! Good luck :-)

  • I actually came across Studio 526 in Akron when I was looking for a reception site. Depending on how many people you want it has the potential for you to decorate and have the atmosphere you would like. I thought it was a cool/different space and goes out of the rustic realm.
