Northern NJ Wedding Venue

Hey everyone!

I just got engaged and am starting to look at venues! My fiance and I are planning a wedding with 200-250 guests. Looking for $150 or less per person for everything, with the exception of flowers and band. Also haven't decided the month but hoping to try for May/June or September/October of 2015. Somewhere in or near Bergen County would be best, also open to nearby in Westchester.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    Knottie34799545  Is the $150 including the tax and gratuity/service charge (++)? If so, the budget is really $115-120pp++. (Most places don't include as part of the 'per person' quote.) If not, the additional tax and gratuity on $150 will bring the pp rate to $190-$200pp. As a guide, if it's ++ usually add 28% on top of the price to come to your real total cost. I looked at many venues here in North Jersey and I found most were on the upper end and out of my budget. To be closer to $150pp final price, you may have better options in the Hudson Valley.

    We booked short notice so I know we got some deals, but:

    We just got married at the Knoll Country Club in Boonton. We paid well under $150 including tax and tip and it was AWESOME. The east building (where we were) holds 250, not sure about the west building.

    The others we visited that quoted us $150 all-inclusive (or less): Park Avenue Club, Old Tappan Manor, Il Tulipano, Seasons.

    Highlawn Pavilion in West Orange falls within that range - I know it's not Bergen County but it's not far!

    I am getting married at the Atrium County Club in West Orange...  Full menu with premium open bar only $80 per person!  we're having 200 people this  July.

    Crystal Plaza will work with you for that budget if you're willing to look at Fridays/Sundays. I'm getting married there in September of 2014 on a Friday and our final per head is like $155 I believe. That includes all tax and gratuity.

    The Valley Regency in Clifton as well! We booked there and had the same budget as you and were interested in the same months (having ours Sept). It's not that far from Bergen Co, which was important to me too, as that's where my family if from.
