Southern WI outdoor ceremony - Need music!!

Hey guys,

FI and I have been hard at work getting all of our business taken care of for our wedding in June (15th) next year. It's going to be at Rotary Gardens in Janesville (It's going to be so pretty!).

Thankfully, between ourselves and our parents, we've all been able to get friends or past co-workers to do business with us for our celebrations. The only roadblock we've come across that has stumped us is what to do for our ceremony music. We know people that play guitar/violin/cello/etc, but they're all either in our wedding party or guests already, and we don't want to have to make them work on a day where they should be having a good time!

If anyone has any suggestions or knows of anyone that would be able to work with us on our day, please, please, please let me know!

</div><div>Call the music director at your local High School.  They might be able to get you some students that will be able to do it for little or no money.  We did this at my wedding and it cost us $50 per musician (with tip) and we had a chello and two violins.</div><div>

  • Have you considered having a DJ play music from a speaker system? We used Edge DJ for our outdoor ceremony in Madison, and they did an outstanding job.
  • I attended a wedding at the Rotary Garden this summer; it was goreous!!! Unless you have your heart set on live music, I suggest anything by the Vitamin String Quartet. A DJ could bring in just two speakers/stands to play the music for you.

  • I had a family friend's son play guitar at our wedding.  He's a professional muscian and is also in a band in the Janesville area, so you can see him play before you book him.  He was $400 but totally worth it, he learned completely new songs for us.  PM me and I can give you his information and if your interested I can send you part of our wedding video so you can hear him play.
