Local Wedding Planners

Has anyone used a local wedding planner at your destination rather than doing everything through the resort? I'm having such a hard time finding reception/dinner info, only ceremony stuff!

Re: Local Wedding Planners

  • Good Morning alperry1230,

Sorry to hear that you're having a hard time. I am a Certified Planner with the Wedding Planner Institute of Canada (WPIC) and I work with/have access to planners who work directly at resorts within Mexico, Jamaica, Bahamas, Barbados, Cayman Island, Dominican Republic, Belize and many many more.  We are also the Certified Planners for Sandals Resorts.

Please feel free to contact me directly if you think I can be of any assistance [email protected].

    Ignore the vendors.

We hired a local wedding planner because we knew how important it is to have someone on the ground in the location (who actualy lives there) helping with the planning. We chose not to get married on a resort, so things like venue, flowers, dj, and everything else needed to be done independently. We looked on WeddingWire for reviews as well as a Google search and contacted references. After all that, we had a great planner and a great wedding.
