@beanbot2002- We used to own guinea pigs when we were little. We thought they were super funny because of how excited they would get when we would walk into the room with lettuce hahaha. They would also make this purring noise when they would get happy. They were seriously the weirdest animals to have as pets.

I'm sorry it bit you though. That's pretty evil!

The Creature squeaks whenever Bean walks in the room. Or if he hears any plastic bags rustling. SURELY it means he's about to be fed something...even if he has a whole damn bowl of food (which he tips 10 minutes after you fill it) and a giant handful of hay. He never purrs. I think he hates us. He kicks his poop at me every chance he gets.

LOL - I don't name fish, as soon as I do, they die.

I thought about having Loki be Arthur (Artie/Art) to go with Merlin and Morgan <<Morgana Le Fay>> and Nessie was almost Nimue (Lady of the Lake).

As far as Moo goes, I had another guinea pig named Shu --- Moo Shu and they were guinea pigs - which then translated to pigs which then translates to pork - Moo Shu pork.

I have a little fun with naming animals.  I would like a male Great Pyr named Zero (from Nightmare Before Christmas) and I want a Newfoundland named Kraken... I might do Lorelei too for a Newfie... and Champ; so many water monsters - need more Newfies!!

I had 4 guinea pigs, the last one I have left is the meanest little bugger of them all.  He too is a biter!!!  And he likes to kick his bedding out, grabs his food bowl from my hand before I can place it,  he's a hateful little thing!!  He's starting to mellow out a little bit though now that he's in his senior years.

Question: How long do they live? I didn't even look into that when we got him. We got him from Petco. According to them he was a juvenile when we brought him home.

@beanbot2002 I think our last set of guinea pigs we ended up rehoming. But our first pair we had for 5 years ish? I don't remember anymore. We had to board them while we were on vacation and one got sick and died shortly after we took her home and the other one didn't live for very long after she died. I'm pretty sure they can live for longer...

Depends on how happy they are.  They are considered seniors at 5yrs and usually live between 5-8 years (though some have lived longer).  I lost my first GP when he was around 3 or 4 years, but I think the surviving GP may have murdered him (and I think he had health issues because he drank a TON of water).  My 2nd GP I lost was around 5 years, she had a cancerous tumor so I had a vet put her down for me (finding a vet to put down a GP for under $100 was not an easy task).  The 3rd GP I had passed away at 5yrs of a respiratory infection (common among pocket pets) - I was getting her ready to go to the vets and she passed away right before we left.  Last one I have left, he's going to be 6 in a month or two.
