FRIDAYYYYYYYYYYYY!

This week has been ridiculous.  Exciting, yes, but holy moly we've been busy!  Here's a recap and a look forward to the weekend.
1) Monday I worked
2) Tuesday I went to the doctor for a physical and went to Seaworld with my sister.  We also signed the contract to buy a new house!
3) Wednesday I had my first ever teaching interview!  I think it went fairly well and hope to hear from the principal soon.  We also got the seller's disclosures on the house!
4) Thursday I ran around like a chicken with my head cut off.  Aka went grocery shopping and delivered all of our financial statements to our lender for our NEW HOUSE.  We also got the completed contract on our new house so that it's actually for sale.  So H scheduled a ton of inspections too.

Today, we are meeting with our lender to sign a bunch of paperwork.  And maybe watching a movie.  Or baseball.  But generally chilling.

Saturday and Sunday I work the evening shift so we will probably chill for the morning or do something of excitement and then off to work I go. <--this is why my weekends are more boring than my weeks, haha.  I basically only work weekends.

Right this second I'm listening to the Boy Band station on Pandora and I'm about to dance on my desk! I will forever love NSYNC and BSB FOREVA!

This morning H and I went to CrossFit and I remembered to bring undies and a bra to work with me this time. After work we are going to go look at puppies yay!! We are going to another shelter tomorrow morning so hopefully by the end of the weekend we will have an idea of where we will get our puppy from!

Saturday night H has to work so I'll probably do some packing and moving by myself.

Sunday I'm going bridesmaid dress shopping with @LaPeanut1018! I hope we find something that we all love! I'm excited!

I'm not working today!!!!!!!

I'm supposed to be showering and getting ready to go to the pool store, but you see where I am right now.

We took the cover off our pool yesterday and it wasn't as bad as last year until FI got all the junk that was on the pool cover IN the pool. Guess who gets to clean that shit out today?

This weekend is a lot of pool shit, FI is working some crazy OT so we'll hardly see each other. I have to clean the house and FINISH MY FUCKING VEIL. I have VIPs coming over in a couple of weeks.

Tonight I need to get a manicure and then work out. 

Tomorrow, I'm going on a 6 mile hike with a couple girlfriends and I'm trying to talk @hummingbird125 into coming but she's being a butt. 

Tomorrow night, H and I have a birthday dinner down the shore with my family. 

Sunday, I have SIL's baby shower (H's brother's wife). I got her the CUTEST stuff ever and I'm so excited!

@Blue yay congrats on the house, so exciting!!!!  

So from the shots I got on Tuesday afternoon now has a big red spot the size of my palm on my left arm underneath the shot that hurts and is hot, so I'm hoping the doctor will cal me back soon to figure out what that is about.  Sigh, I am so glad it's Friday. We have no plans for this evening, finalizing the seating chart and may be printing out menu cards. 

Saturday FMIL is coming over in the morning to help us with some gardening and planting around the house.  Yay, then I have my niece's dance recital at night/late afternoon.  Sunday is FI"s bachelor party, so I will have the house to myself most of the day, except for some part in the afternoon where they stop by the house to clean up or something.  That is when I plan to head to the mall to finish up shopping for my bridesmaids and get groceries for the week. 15 day!!!!

I really don't feel like doing any work today at all..

@SouthernPeach89 I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets super excited and dances uncontrollable when I hear NSYNC or any other boy band! I miss the 90's!

Tonight FI and I are going to bar for our friend's surprise birthday get together! I'm pretty excited, AND the band playing at our reception is playing their tonight (they're friends of ours).

Tomorrow FI and I are going to my hometown to visit my family. My grandparents are up for the summer from Florida so we are going to visit them. FI hasn't met them yet so I'm excited for that.  Saturday night we are going to the movies to see A Million Ways To Die In The West. It was a toss up between that and Maleficent, but I think we're going to see that next weekend.

Sunday we may go to church. FI has the entire day off which never happens because he almost always has to play in the worship band at church.  I have no idea what else, if anything, we are doing Sunday.

This weekend is going to mostly be low key I believe. Today is FI's birthday so we are going to his mom's for dinner and drinks and a bonfire.i told him to be prepared for my ring to steal his birthday thunder.. I don't think he minds

Nothing set in stone the rest of the weekend, but its my only weekend off between spring & summer semester so I will be soaking up sun mostly!!

@BreMR- I'm officially jealous of you! They were in ATL last year and one of my best friends went and saw them for her bday and I cried lol. I wanted to go to that concert so bad!

No plans really...except to spend as much time snuggling the boys and laying around in my PJs. My sister wants us to go to the VA food and wine festival with her and her FI on Sunday, but I don't know if I'm gonna be up for it.

@southernpeach89 boy bands and your insane crossfit athleticism just seem like a crazy mix   I want NSYNC played at your next crossfit craziness!

@buddysmom80 I've been seeing all these NJ/NY/PA people opening their pools and it's crazy - we never had a pool in NJ lol, and our FL pool was always open.  Our pool in our new house is salt water, so that should be pretty fun to learn how to do (it appears to be easier than chlorine)

@peaseblossom55 I missed what your shots were for (maybe honeymoon?) but omg the nightmares I am getting!  I can't do this and hope you are feeling better soon!!

To all, yay house!  Also, a good funny story: A student emailed me to ask if she could take an exam late because she's going on a cruise (really, just don't schedule a cruise during my class next time?) and so I told her if she's really bold she can come to my house down here and take it, haha.  BUT ALAS, she didn't go for that option and I'm just opening the test at a different time for her.  But seriously, student, the cruise terminal is less than 40 min from my house (HEAR THAT ANY NEYers THAT WANT TO GO ON A CRUISE OUT OF PT CANAVERAL!????)

@Blue & White Congrats on contracting on your house! I hope all of the inspections go well! I think that part was even more stressful for me than getting a home under contract.

@TwoDimes We do something like that too! Some homes in really fancy neighborhoods around here will open up their houses during Christmas for a Tour of Homes. So me and my mom and @southernpeach89 will all go and drink cider and walk through these amaze-face houses and get decorating ideas.

I'm working from home today. Today is SO stressful and the next few weeks are going to be the same. I have so much on my plate because so many people waited until the last minute to start submitting contracts to our client. I just don't know how we're going to get it all done before the end of June.

Tonight FI and I are going to start taping and painting our hallway and we'll try to finish tomorrow. Sunday is bridesmaids dress shopping with @southernpeach89 and our other sister and two of the other bridesmaids!!!

The rescue group I work with pulls dogs and puppies from shelters around Atlanta to transport here to NY - - - so I'm sure you have TONS OF CHOICE!

I recently saw a post that the Rockdale AC is full to capacity, so I hope you will look there and maybe make a space!!  (There was an adorable adult corgi there!!)

@Kelani23- Yes there are a ton of shelters here in Georgia. We have looked at a bunch already and we are being rather specific on the bread. H really wants a Lab so we have limited our search to Lab rescues and shelters with Labs. If these two shelters we are visiting this weekend don't work out then we will probably continue our search to a further parameter of the state.

Weekend! I am so exhausted, I can't wait to sleep tomorrow.

This week has been a bit crazy and I'm so happy it's Friday. I've been out almost every evening this week and had an allergic reaction last night so I got nothing done at home...

Tonight FI and I are having a date night. We've been spending most of our evenings and weekends with friends and family recently (especially since Saturday) so I'm really looking forward to having an evening for ourselves. We're going to dinner and then going to see A Million Ways to Die in the West. We've both been wanting to see it since the first trailer and I'm excited! I'm hoping we can talk about some wedding stuff over dinner and get a better idea of when we want to have the wedding. We're thinking next summer which means that we really need to start looking for a venue.

Tomorrow FI is golfing in the morning and I have a ton of stuff to do at home. Then we're meeting his cousin at a park to take some photos. I've tried to convince him that we'll most likely be able to book an engagement session with a photographer once we book someone, but he wants photos NOW! I'm looking at it as a chance for me to get more comfortable and less awkward in front of a camera, so no harm...and I think it's cute that he's so happy and excited. We'll probably have dinner with his family tomorrow and just hang out afterwards.

Sunday is church x2, and hopefully a nap in between. I just want a day to relax!

@BreMR Ugh, I'm perpetually annoyed that Avril is Canadian...it means our radio stations are obligated to play some of her crap and it drives me crazy!

@Peaseblossom55 I had to get a bunch of shots for a couple of volunteer trips I did and they were awful! I actually got a crazy fever and thought I had the flu after my second round of shots. Hopefully the crazy hot red patch will clear up quickly. Malaria pills gave me the most bizarre dreams, but I don't remember getting anything weird from my shots. It'll be worth when you're on your HM! Where are you going?

Well at least you picked a common breed!  We have one rescue where my cousin got his lab puppy, which alllllwaaaaaays has lab puppies, but I think they pull from North Carolina.  We all have southern dogs!  Mine are from Gainesville, GA (Sweet Kelani!), West Virginia, and the one who passed was from Kentucky, and my mom has one from South Carolina and my cousin's I mentioned from NC!

@Blue YAY for house! And teaching interview! AND WELL I GUESS I KNOW WHERE I'D BE GOING ON A CRUISE IF I WERE GOING ON A CRUISE

I am back at work today after dealing with a stomach bug for the past couple days. I'm still feeling crappy, and I don't have that much to get done, so I'm going to deal with my cells, do some lab manager stuff, deal with some administrative business, and head out to run some errands.

Tomorrow, one of my college friends is visiting town, so we're getting mani pedis in the morning. I am thrilled to see her--she left grad school after last semester and has an awesome new job in another state, and she just adopted adorbz kitties, so I can't wait to see her.

Then, my mom is picking me up and we're heading to my cousin's bridal shower. I really, really hope my mom will let me drive; the shower is up in a part of the city that I'm familiar with (for you Boston area peeps, it's up in Everett), and the best routes to take there are all complicated. My mom is very protective of her (10-year-old) car, though, so chances are she'll insist that I just navigate.

If we get there early enough (or maybe if we feel like sticking around after the shower), we might stop by Michaels, which is practically across the street from the bridal shower venue. I really hope we have a chance, although I'm not entirely sure what wedding stuff I'd want to pick up. Escort card material, maybe, but it's so early in the game, we haven't even talked about that.

Sunday will be a relax day because J and I are both overtired and sick.

Yay Friday! I'm glad it's finally here and I'm incredibly thankful that my office closes at 1:00 on Fridays. It's been an emotionally draining week and I feel like zombie laura. I'm ready for a break.

Tonight I'm getting my hair colored and my nails done. Tomorrow FI and I are taking our engagement photos (finally!) so that should be fun. I was a little disappointed that we had to downgrade our photography budget, but I found a photographer I really like.

@peaseblossom55 you're going to have to take TONS of pictures and video (didn't @swazzle have video of getting eaten by a shark or riding a tiger or something crazy?  Her honeymoon was amazing!) because..that's a lot of shots for me to go to Belize   I haven't ruled out South Africa yet though because um...swazzle swam with sharks and met a tiger.  And I'm jealous.  Over a year later

Hi Ladies!!!

I've got lots of work I should be doing but just am having one of those weeks where 'I don't wanna'.

Today:  I have to take a long lunch to get a prescription for my strained/sprianed foot filled.  After work, I'm hoping to run to the 'running' store so I can be properly fitted for a pair of walking shoes (I hope they have pretty ones that fit my feet!!). 

Tomorrow - Probably work on cleaning up around the house.  FI has a bachelor party to go to, so I'll have some time to myself.

Sunday - No plans.

At some point I have to go visit my brother and return my spare house key to him.  I have a detached garage and FI was helping me out by watching the dogs and ended up locking my house key in his car in my garage, so he had no way of getting back into my garage and my house was locked.  My brother lives within walking distance, so he walked to my brother's house to get my spare key to my house.

Yay Friday! I really should be in the lab right now taking my reactor apart and loading it ...

Today FI took a personal day and is cleaning my apartment for check-out tomorrow morning. He's hoping to be done late this afternoon so we can hang out with our friends for a while this evening and just put the whole move aside. I'm hoping he remembers to go to Petco and pick up Feliway and Cat Attract because I think his cat is marking and the carpet is brand-fucking-new.

Tomorrow morning I check out of my apartment, then my parents are in town. They decided they dissed my move by not helping me and helping my brother only (gee, ya think Mom? sarcasm off), so they're going to come help for a day. Lots of cleaning, lots of garbage to be taken out, god I hate moving.

Sunday I have to work. I lost a few days this week on my system, so I need to make up the experiments.

YAY weekend! It's been one of those weeks, I tell ya.

Today I'm working from home because my stomach was my mortal enemy overnight and this morning. It seems to have finally chilled out, and my appetite decided to make a reappearance as well. I just came back from getting my weekly allergy shots, and maybe if my stomach continues to feel OK after lunch I'll fit in a quick workout this afternoon. Later today I'm meeting my cousin to get our nails done and grab dinner... then I'm probably going to come home and be a lazy bum. 

Saturday my only plans are a session at the gym with a personal trainer. Other than that, BF and I will probably just hang out at home and clean a bit. 

Sunday we're going to run errands and help my co-worker mount her TV at her new apartment... yep, that's all that's on the books so far. I need to start planning what I'm going to do for my birthday next month as well. I'll be out of town at a conference on my actual birthday, and we have Father's Day and another friend's birthday to think about as well... this summer is going to be incredibly busy. 

Sounds like everyone has had a busy week!

@Blue will do, I don't know what excursions we have planned yet, but we have underwater cameras for when we go snorkeling in the bahamas so we will probably bring those along
