Bridesmaids short bride long?

I was wondering if it would be ok if i(bride) wore a long flow dress and have the bridesmaids ware short dresses.Is that two drastic of a difference? my dress isn't going to be that fancy so i want a difference between my dress and the maids that's why i am thinking about having the length difference. Please help me decide!

That should be just fine! People don't really worry about bride and BMs matching lengths.  My dress is long and princess-like.  My BMs are wearing short dresses.

It is fine.  I wore a long lace dress with a short train.  My girls picked their own black dresses - both were just below the knee.

I think that is completely fine... if it were a huge ball gown and super short BM dress that night be a little different, but sounds  just fine to me.

My bestfriend is getting married in a month and she has a long dress, while we have short dresses.  I think that is becoming pretty normal these days.  I've heard that it is so the girls can rewear the dress after the wedding, but I'm not sure.

Not a problem at all! I will be wearing a long dress and my BMs will be wearing short dresses. I think most brides are more worried about standing out rather than blending in.
