Tipping your planner?

Did you tip your destination wedding planner? I should note that our planner was not through a resort.

    I would ask friends if that is customary in the region/country/town. Sometimes people may be insulted, other times it may be expected.

        I'm getting married at Disneyland and they assigned us a planner. The Disney planners are not allowed to accept tips or gifts, but I'm told they appreciate a picture and a heartfelt thank you note so that's what I am doing. Ours has been really great answering my questions and making me feel like I'm her only client even though I am one of 100s!
