So, my wedding day is in just over 3 months. I ordered my dress, a Pronovias gown, through a local boutique. Long story short, there is a legal disagreement between that store and Pronovias over whether the store owes them money, and so Pronovias is holding all of the gowns. I was able to get my deposit back from the store, but they never released the order back to Pronovias. Now Pronovias won't start releasing dresses until their lawyers say so. I've been calling multiple times a week for 3 weeks, and while the customer service rep I've been working with is very understanding and good about giving me updates, it just seems like there's always another legal step that needs to be taken before they can release my dress.
I'm really starting to freak out. I know I will need to have serious alterations done, because I've been able to slim down quite a bit since I ordered my dress last year. So while there are still 3 months to go until my wedding date, it feels like there is even less time since I'd have to find a place to get alterations, make sure they can do it in the time I have left, etc.
I don't have time to order another dress. I'm nervous these legal issues are going to continue to drag on (already it's been 3 weeks since they thought they'd be able to release my dress) and then it will be too late.
Does anyone have any advice? Should I be looking for a new dress? Should I be calling newspapers, consumer TV shows, my own lawyers??

It's beginning to look a little hopeless, guys. Any recommendations would be awesome.
