corset back dress

I have somewhat of an issue. I am pregnant and will be 2 months postpartum for my wedding. I have a beautiful gown with a corset back which I figured I'd have my mom lace me into...However after some family issues I think we may skip having a wedding and just elope (sortof...wwe're still using the same venue and officiant ect so the set up is still the same just well have my son and daughter and the of faint and that all) I'm still getting my hair and makeup done and I'm still having a photographer but now I don't know who's going to lace me up...or what to do about the corset.

Any ideas? Suggestions?

Does the venue have any staff? The stylist?

I assume your children aren't old enough to help out.

Well you could have a nice moment with your FI and have him lace you into your dress (kind of a different take on a first look).  Or you could see if maybe your venue coordinator or even your photographer could help you into your dress.

@PDKH‌ my son will be 8 so he could help but it won't be pretty lol, my daughter will be about 2 months old. I was thinking FI could maybe help but then that ruins the first look. I may ask if the stylist wouldn't mind lacing me up....

@maggie0829 i wonder if i could be in my dress and sitting down or standing facing away from FI that way he doesn't get the whole picture until I turn around...If not that then I know the photographer and his wife will be there and I could see if she'd be ok with lacing it up.

The other thing I was considering was maybe have the gown altered with a hidden zipper and the back pre laced...idk

Are you going to have any witnesses?  One of those people could potentially help you out.

Talk to the photographer and explain. I imagine they would be willing to help.
