Neon Museum (Boneyard)

I really want to do our first look at the Neon Museum. I got pricing and it is $400 for 1 hour!!! It is cheaper for locals. They also have a North Gallery that is $200 for 30 minutes.

Has anyone been to the North Gallery?

Is it worth it to pay the $400?

Re: Neon Museum (Boneyard)

  • It's definently an only in vegas experience but we nixed it for now. There's some restored signs in downtown vegas supposedly. We are probably going to return for one year anniversary and do boneyard then.

  • @rosebubbly great idea for a one year anniversary trip!
We had our dream wedding in Las Vegas - 11.29.2014
  • We did it for our engagement pictures. It is pricey, but we really like how they turned out, and it was a fun experience!
  • That is WAY too expensive. If you do do it, be sure and hire an extremely excellent photographer who can take some really artsy photos, because I have seen so many wedding shoots and other shoots there that are soooooo blah. Like, I can't believe those people paid that kind of money for a cool backdrop only to get totally lame boring photos. I mean, it's a cool backdrop, but it's not going to do all the work!
  • Hmmm..now I'm anxious about doing it. Maybe I'll wait for my anniversary :)

  • Their prices have gone up enough to make it no longer worth it.  My wife and I did our 1st anniversary photos there (http://www.mikelphotos.com/neon-boneyard-anniversary) and it was $250 at the time, which, after seeing the place, was right at the limit of what I'd pay to do photos there.  At $400 it's simply not that great, and like Rosebubbly said, there are signs in and around Fremont St, which will give you the exact same effect for free if you're not looking for a specific sign or the standing amongst a bunch of old broken signs effect.
