Leaving NEXT Friday!

Hi ladies!

I hope planning is going well for everyone!  I just wanted to stop in as we are leaving next Friday for our DW and wanted to know if anyone has any advice/tips on things to bring or anything along those lines?  We are heading to St. John so won't need passports or anything, so so far my list includes:

-rings
-my dress/his suit
-shoes
-ID
-bathing suits/sunscreen
-dresses/shorts
-makeup
-hair stuff

Anything else that I'm leaving off that would be useful?

Thanks :)

So exciting! I am not excited about packing for Jamaica next May. I am scared I am going to end up with 3 suitcases. Hopefully we can get everything into one or two.

I'm leaving in a week for mine also and dreading the packing. I know I'll either end up with 10 bags or forget something critical. FI keeps having nightmares that he gets there, starts getting ready on morning of wedding, then realizes that he forgot his pants back home. :) - Are there any documents you need to obtain your marriage license? I know we need to bring our birth certificates for ours. - Any extras for your ceremony? Flowers? Guest Book? Favors? Etc. - Jewelry? For wedding or after. - Small sewing kit for mishaps? I've got a tiny travel kit with needle, thread, safety pins. I figure it may be useful dress gets ripped or something. - Printed confirmations for hotel, airline, or other booked things. And contact numbers for wedding coordinator or whoever you have been working with.

I think this might be the most stressful portion of the wedding! I bet I start packing 2 weeks ahead of time just to make sure I have absolutely everything that we might need.

Awesome suggestions (also, sorry for my dumb signature, I've never been able to figure it out and with less than a week to go, I'm ok with it). I made a list tonight and it's ridiculously long. So I suppose I need to use my giant suitcase instead of the smaller one I was going for. Also thought of this one: bug spray. We are going to St. John and I've heard conflicting reports as to whether or not it gets buggy there. Just a heads up if you're going somewhere tropical and might need some bug protection. :)

You should definitely bring bug repellent, especially right now with the chikungunya fever going around in the Caribbean, being transmitted by mosquitos.  It isn't fatal, but it's supposed to be super painful and it certainly doesn't look like fun.  Even without that risk, you certainly don't want mosquitos messing up your trip.

You can also get mosquito repellent wipes that may be easier to pack and carry than a big spray bottle. I'm taking these on my trip because I figure I can carry them easily on day trips and just apply if I need it, instead of having to carry a larger bottle or put it on every morning.

Or Avon makes a combo lotion that has both SPF 30 sun protection and deet-free bug repellent:
