Chit Chat

sitting at a Denver airport bar

No one to talk to. So what's up?

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

Re: sitting at a Denver airport bar

  • Currently eating a protein bar because I never eat breakfast.

I also forgot my coffee this morning. Where are to heading to/from?

  • From Aspen to Philly. Dads surprise party is on Saturday. Hanging out with sister finishing up plans tomorrow.

Btw the guy in my siggy. Yeah DH is really busy so he is going to spend his days with a bunch of bikini cladded 20-something year olds who all love dogs. Our other dog is hanging with other friends going hiking and such. They are not spoiled at all. Nope.

  • Sounds like a fun weekend! The weather here is pretty crappy. Whenever it's gloomy outside it feels gloomy inside at work. I'm annoyed at one of my coworkers, too. Makes for a fun morning. At least it's Thursday, though! I'm debating getting a few brewski's after work today.

And those are some lucky doggy's!

  • I hope the surprise party goes well! How is the weather holding up?

And the real question is: what are you drinking at the bar?

  • Mimosas. Prefect breakfast drink.

So far dad doesn't know. Helps that he thinks he is having 12 people over after golf. Surprise its 80.

Weather looks prefect. Those knottie vibes really work

  • I HATE surprises and would never want my own surprise party, but I want to do one for FI next year (January) because we'll be married then. I like that he thinks it's just a few people and ends up being more!

  • Mmmm mimosas. One of those would be perfection right now.

Slow day here at work. Not much going on but at least I get to leave early today. Granted, it's for a dentist appointment but at least I won't be sitting in my office until 5.

  • Is Root Down open yet? You could head over and get something yummy!

  • We just went and applied for our marriage license. Whoo. One thing down, a million to go.

  • I'm packing so I can leave to head up to my parents tomorrow, then on to his parents, where the wedding is. This is difficult--3+ weeks at their houses, several special events (throwing a baby shower, fiance's ordination, rehearsal dinner, etc.), all the wedding stuff, and the honeymoon.
  • I just got some unsolicited marriage advice from an older, male coworker, in the copy room where the whole department could hear.

    Pass the wine, please.

  • Have a safe flight!

  • I'm flying into Denver tomorrow morning!

    And now I want a mimosa. It's 4pm, whateva.
