Bridal Shower Invitees

I'm sure this questions has been asked a million times but I've looked over a few pages on a few boards and cant seem to find anything.....Please point me in the right direction if you happen to know

My sis is asking me for my Bridal Shower invite list and I'm kinda stumped as to exactly whom I should have her extend the invitation too. Obviously Mom, Sis, Maids...other than that is it just close aunts/cousins/friends? 

I've been to showers where practically every woman who was invited to the wedding was invited to the Bridal Shower. 

I do know that Golden rule of, If they're not invited to the wedding it's poor etiquette (and manners IMO) to invite them to any pre wedding events.

The host should indicate how many women (or people for co-ed shower) they are comfortable hosting and then you should list whoever you feel comfortable inviting that is invited to the wedding. I personally wouldn't invite every woman invited to the wedding, but I like smaller showers.

Second @pinkshorts27 with asking first how many people she is comfortable hosting.  

When my MOH was booking the place for my shower, she had two places in mind: one could hold more than the other, though she didn't say exactly how many.  

I sent her my guest list and told her the definites (like my mom, mommom, aunts, best girl friends), the most likelys (some friends that live a little bit further, the members of FI's family that expressed interest), the maybes (pretty much the women from FI's side that weren't on most likely), and the nopes (people who were invited b/c they were someone's SO or what have you).  I don't really agree with the idea of inviting all women invited to the wedding, but that's just me.

I believe this helped her decide on where to have it/ who to invite, but I don't know anything about my shower except the date!

Usually its women in the bridal party, the closer female relatives, and close friends. You can invite more, but it will probably be more fun with the people who are closest to you. If you are having multiple showers thrown for you, you split the guest list besides maybe the bridesmaids who can come to both.
