  • Congrats OP! I am also a law school grad, so I know what a difficult feat that is.

10 years ago I moved 3,000 miles away from everyone I knew because I was following my dream. I had a bunch of nay-sayers in my life telling me I'd be back before I knew it begging for my waitressing job again (I didn't dislike waitressing - it just wasn't my dream.)  I ignored them. I moved from a small town where I was waitressing, to a big city across the country where I knew no one, had no job prospects, and nowhere to live. I now have 2 successful businesses in a highly competitive field in a saturated market. I know it can all be gone in an instant. So I continue to work my ass off and don't pat myself on the back too often. So thanks for the opportunity ;)

Congrats on your hard work. It wasn't luck, you know. It was you kicking ass, taking names, and believing in yourself. Very impressive.

I should be getting my diploma in the mail any day now!

And I'm super upset with my university because they said if you graduated with honors, they'd give you hour cord there.  So I asked them because they didn't give me one. They looked at my card and said, no, it didn't say I got one on my card. And then final grades come through and yes, I DID graduate with honors. Cum laude to be exact, and I didn't get a cord to wear.  It doesn't matter that much, I did graduate with honors even if I didn't get to wear a cord, but it's the fact that my university has been screwing me over and giving me problems all semester long.

    End rant.

ETA: Sorry, this is supposed to be a happy thread.  Congrats everybody on your accomplishments!
