Alcohol

I'm at a loss. I'm trying to figure out how many kegs of beer would be needed for a wedding reception with around 75 guests keeping in mind this is for a Wisconsin wedding. I would say 1/3 of the 75 will be drinking heavily.

I was planning on also having liquor and mixers on hand to make cocktails.

Thanks for the help!  Smile

Re: Alcohol

  • Well we had 200 people and went through 5 1/2 barrells I think? I'd suggest at least 2 if your guests drink heavily.
  • I wouldnt do more than two. We had about 180 guests. 80% did nothing BUT drink. we went through 2 1/12. If you are doing liquor as well, I suggest doing one regular and one lite and possibly having another just in case. I was able to do that and I would not have been charged if we had not opened it. I would definiatly find out if that is an option for you. Good luck.

  • Thanks for the suggestions!  =)
  • There is approx. 7 cases in a ½ barrel.  24 beers in a case, lets say you ordered 3 1/2s…  Therefore 24x7x3=504 beers divided by 75 people = about 7 beers per person.  I’d say that’s a safe number!
