Wedding Party/Task Help

My Fiance's sister is 18 and has down syndrome. We have decided not to have her as a bridesmaid.
We do however want her to have a special part in the wedding and were looking for some creative part in the wedding.
Open to ANY suggestions.

Have someone escort her down the aisle as a person of honor during the processional. Maybe she could walk with her parents.

Get her a corsage or a small nosegay bouquet as an honored family member.

Get her a dress in the same color as the bridesmaids, list her in the program as a bridesmaid, include her in a few formal photos with the bridesmaids, but let her sit with her parents during the ceremony. All a bridesmaid has to do is wear the dress and walk down the aisle ... can she handle that? (Serious question, not sarcastic.)

    Agreed!  :)
  • A good friend of mine has a sister with Down's Syndrome.  The sister was MOH at my friend's wedding and she did fine.  So if your FSIL can handle it, certainly make her a bridesmaid, and possibly let her sit during the ceremony.  I know that my friend's sister *loved* being MOH.
