We had our engagement party yesterday, and it was wonderful! After all the planning, drama, stress, I can't believe it's over! There were a few glitches but nothing major. The food was amazing, the decor was beautiful, and everyone had a blast! My bridal shower also got us a really lovely touching gift- they each got us an item that represented us or our relationship. A football, a DVD, a book, and custom made t shirts ( they each say he/she makes me feel wepa! From the Maurica videos we love)
FMIL did an amazing job, and gave a beautiful speech. We are going to take her out to a steakhouse dinner to thank her for all she did. We actually received a good amount of gifts which we were not expecting at all, so I'm going to start on thank you cards this week, we have to pick them up from FMIL's house. I added a few pics below. On another note, one of my toes is numb from the heels I wore. Is this normal?? I feel really paranoid now.
