Most romantic movie for a screening before a wedding...

So we found a theater within walking distance to our top pick for ceremony/reception site that would do a private screening for us and 120 of our guests any time of the day OR at a seperate location that is within three mile driving distance that could hold all 200 of our guests before noon .... for only $500 including popcorn and soda for everyone and our name on the Marquise at either place.  So what is the most romantic classic movie that I should play, we dont have any movies that are special to us besides the little Mirmade. lol

With our wedding being a late in the evening, an 18 and older group, and an hour or so from most guest so they will probably be getting rooms Friday night or Saturday morning I wanted an activity for them to do while in town and waiting for the ceremony time...

Hmm, I don't really have any movie suggestions. Are you thinking "classic" like Casablanca, or something more recent?

The private screening is a really cool idea, I'd love to do something like that after our rehearsal dinner!

That is an awesome idea!! And seems like a really good deal the theater is giving you too. I would just google romantic comedies or love stories... the list goes on and on.

I like the idea, but keep in mind that some guys hate "chick flicks", so maybe go with more of a romantic comedy so that the guys get some laughs while the girls enjoy the romance-- i.e. "50 First Dates", "When Harry Met Sally",

    Cute idea!!

That is an awesome idea! If I may ask, what theatre are you using?

    Here are a few suggestions:
The Notebook (so romantic...can't go wrong with this one!!!!)
    You've Got Mail
    A Walk to Remember
    Serendipity
Romeo and Juliet (perhaps too violent)

Great idea! You could choose a movie around the time of year you are getting married (ie- Serendipity is more of a winter movie)

I agree with the romatic comedy approach - keep the guys interest more.  A few ideas: Knocked Up, Juno, or 40-Year Old Virgin.

While You Were Sleeping (rom-com that doesn't have any controversial or kid-unfriendly scenes)
An Affair to Remember (classic Cary Grant tear jerker)
Pride and Prejudice (you can't beat Jane Austen and the Keira Knightly version is visually beautiful)

Sorry it took so long to write back, thanks for all the suggestions. We were going to use the movie theater in Lake Geneva the smaller one... Almost every single one I called for price comparisons allowed it and the costs were really low. If your thinking about it I would say for sure call around.

We decided not to do it as our venue location changed to a different town with no theater... But I am keeping it in mind as a birthday party idea for a friend turning 21 who doesnt want to do it up in the bars really.
