My day has been somewhat interesting. I got called into my CVP's office because there will be a re-org in my department. I will now be reporting to one of the CVPs that interviewed me (she is awesome), along with a current team member, and another lady from another team. I took a nice lunch break with my 2 coworkers  - one is getting married on Saturday so today was our last lunch with her as a bachelorette. After work, we are going to go to Happy Hour for FI's bday (which is tomorrow, we took the day off), so I am pretty much just waiting for the day to end at this point. 

Can your cats go out on the balcony with you? I'm too paranoid to let mine go out. I just don't know if they would know better? I mean I guess a cat wouldn't just jump off a balcony, right? One of my kitties is really clumsy though, so I wouldn't trust him out there lol.

@pinkcow13 I was nervous about it at first, too.  But they have never tried to jump.  Sometimes they stick their heads through the bars and I scold them, so they have pretty much learned not to do that either.

The other night we accidentally left Jack out there by himself from about midnight to 6am and he was just chillin on the balcony rug.  

We do have bars that are pretty close together, so they'd have to really wriggle to get through there.  So (unless I'm a terrible cat mommy and don't realize somebody snuck out on us) generally I just let them come out with me so I can keep an eye on them.  But they like the breeze and fresh air, I think.

@pinkcow13 I live in a heavily wooded area and my cats are big babies, so they don't go outside. Too many people I know have lost cats to predators in the area, so for safety's sake I keep them in.

One day FI and I are going to build a house with a BIG screen porch and I know they're going to have a BLAST out there.

beethery - I would love to do that,have a house and build an enclosed area for them to play in. One of my cats loves laying under the sun, so he would LOVE that.

We have a raised deck at our new place, no stairs to the ground, and it's up on the second level.  FI's cat likes to go out there.  My 2 know better - my non-fraidy cat came out onto the deck at my old house and I came stomping and hollering up the steps and she ran back in the house, never to set foot outside again.  They don't have front claws so they would be toast if they got loose.  The do enjoy the fresh breeze from the open screen door though.

I'm realizing that I can no longer go to the drive-in on a week night.

FML, when I got home from work last night, FI had made me dinner - pan seared tilapia, garlic sauteed shrimp, green beans, and quinoa/rice medley.  He was so proud!  Then he decided we needed a date night so we went to the bulk food store and loaded up on crap then headed down to the drive in...his picks (UGH) X-Men, followed by Spiderman.  X-Men wasn't bad, I lasted halfway through spiderman before I was out.

Slept through the alarm this morning, woke up 1 minute after I usually leave the house but still made it to work on time.  The afternoon shift called in sick so I'm now pulling a double....ugh.

Ugh - FI texted me a pic.  Some douche hit his car while he was getting a haircut and left.  Luckily a lady saw the whole thing and took down the make and model and license plate number so the police are treating it like a hit and run.  People are such assholes.

My day was pretty good and bad at the same time. I worked with my employer/professor by emptying the workshop room, since the whole building is being renovated. Good news that made me feel awesome is that I'm assisant manager so I would have employees under me! I'll be making schedules and everything! Sure they are other students but I still feel pretty awesome, I won't let it go to my head though! One of our contributor's wife died so we are going to the funeral. So that was the sad part. After work, V and I ran some errands. I went to the gym and haven't lost any weight yet so that's a it of a bummer. Overall, its been a good day!

We are 90% done with our invites and plan to send them out this week. They are completely DIY minus actually making the paper/envelopes and extracting the ink from berries (this may not be the proper way to harvest ink), we've (I've) spent way too much time on them.

FI said he would be disappointed if none of our guests put a pic of our invites on FB. I told him I would be unhappy if someone did.

Yes, it's not real. I made it up. I'll blame my recent Hunger Games binge.

Also, I don't know how to quote from my phone. Maybe it will work.

And finally, @beethery‌ I am super envious of your drape sketch thingy mentioned on of 1. I so wish I could do that for everything!

The fuck is wrong with me? I didn't read the 'minus the' part and just saw berry ink and got excited. It has been a weird day lol

Photoshop and a drawing tablet is the way to go Once I get in there and take my own pictures (and some pano pictures) I can really get down to the nitty-gritty on the decor planning.
