Re: Northern NJ Wedding Venues

  • You guys all rock! Thank you all so much for all the suggestions and recommendations and for sharing your plans and wedding with me!  I wrote them all down to save them for when I need to book the rest! Our first priority right now is picking our venue and getting the date. I cant wait to have a date!!!   We are going to the Primavera and Ravello's next week... So excited!!

@pearl78 & @Jenn7778..  I'm totally going to check out the photographers you both suggested... We aren't super sure what we are looking for right now but, I have a feeling when I see the work I will fall in love and I will know..

It is definitely a small world that we all live in Union.. I bet close by to each other too and we would probably never bump into each other either! So glad to meet you ladies!! :)

Well I will list everyone I am using. I made sure to meet with at least 3 vendors in each category except my photographer. I knew his work and booked him before anything else since he is so amazing! I did not always book the least expensive but who I though would make my wedding amazing! I am not sure what your budget is but would be willing to share costs with you in a private message if you want. Just let me know. DJ - Posh Entertainment in Cranford (Mikey B is our DJ and owns the company) they are amazing and very highly rated on the knot. I felt comfortable with him the minute we sat down. He was more down to earth and less Jersey cheesy then all the others. Florist- Avenue Florist in Elizabeth. Nathan is a bit quirky but he does amazing work and will work within any budget you have. His samples were really beautiful and I had a lot of friends who had used them. The 3% sales tax vs 7% did not hurt either. Limos- Santos Limos because they had the best rates and the most included Hotel block - Somerset Hills Hotel in Warren. It is who Primavera recommended and they include a shuttle to and from the reception in the rate. We are also doing a brunch the next morning there. Photographer - John Barone in Philadelphia because he is amazing! Videographer - Steve at All Occasion Vidoe in Philadelphia. He was willing to mold a package within my budget and works with my photographer a lot. Hair and Makeup - Gianna Giaconna in Summit. My trial was amazing and she is super easy going and responsive. Rehearsal Dinner - Sofia'a in Springfield. They have delicious food and give you a ton for the money. It is ring your own so it keeps he price down a bit. That is all I can think if for now but I am sure I am missing something! Lol
POSH is amazing!  Lil Cee did my wedding last month.  They were awesome!!! Can't recommend them enough.  I'll eventually get to writing my vendor reviews for all you ladies that are planning.

  • All you Union people are coming out of Union is cracking me up...because I 4 live in Union.  I am not sure if the Primavera is going to fit my party size but it is a nice venue!!!
  • Hi Jeannine12!!!!!!!!!!!

How many people are you planning on having?  Def check out the Venetian..  Its beautiful and it will hold a lot of people...  I didn't put them on my list because our wedding is a lot smaller and half my friends got married there. LOL  Also, check out Estate at Florentine Gardens.  Gorgeous Venue!

  • We are trying to get it to 250 but right now we are at 275.  I love Florentine Garden and we will look at that next weekend too.  We are open to a lot of places in Union and Morris County and now may start looking in Essex.
  • Danielle,

There is going to be a new venue in Ridgewood right above the Park West Tavern, called Park West Lot. It's going to be a completely brand new venue, that can it approximately 120+ Guests.
  • @Knottie2256911..
