It's just a matter of time...

How long do you think it will take for special snowflake idiots to want to start fires for pretty pictures?

EDIT: Does this one work?

About a week. Fire season has a whole new meaning now.

What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

Oh no. :( A couple got married and there were wildfires in the area. They sped up the ceremony because the fire department was evacuating the area. They got a few super awesome amazeballs pictures before they left. Edited because I cannot read and for some reason thought this happened on October. Oregon =/= October is news to me.

  • These pictures are really incredible.  I watched the interviews with them and the couple seems really nice, very "roll with the punches" kind of people.

The pics are incredible, but I can imagine we'll see a very bad trend of wedding/engagement/trash the dress photos taking place dangerously close to wildfires, and people putting themselves in unnecessary danger.  Which is stupid.
These people were in the right (wrong?) place at the right time, but much dumber people will purposely put themselves in danger for "amazing" wedding photos!

Me, too! I was thinking that the whole time.

  • When I married my ex there was a huge wildfire not to far away (the Angora fire in California in 2008) and the sky was silver in all my pictures and the lake was a charcoal color. I actually had my photographer "fix" one of my favorites to look like a normal day. You couldn't see it like in theirs but I hated it because our reception got scratched the MORNING of! We just had a BBQ at the park then and made the best of it.

Yup. Like the girl from Canada (I believe) who drowned during a TTD photoshoot because she and the photographer thought it was a good idea for her to get in a moving river with her heavy wedding dress on.

Yes, the pictures were amazing but I have a feeling that couple would not have purposefully put themselves that close to danger just to have some cool photos.  They were just in the wrong/right place at the right time and were lucky to get any shots at all.

I think that's what is really extraordinary about these photos. They are just making the best out of an awful situation. I feel like if anyone else tried this "just because" it would come across as incredibly stupid and posed - even in the actual photos. These photos actually remind me of some incredible wedding photos I saw from Bejing that were taken in insane smog/pollution to protest the conditions there.
