Re: ..

  • Check out vistaprint and see if you can have a "reception to follow at x address" business cards printed to insert with your invitation. Usually these can be done very inexpensively (often they have sales where you just pay postage).

Thats a great idea. However invites are already mailed/deliverd to the guests.  Maybe I could do the vista print thing and give them to the guests at the ceremony? I could have the ushers hand them out as people are coming in.
  • I hope you are hosting some kind of cocktail hour during that hour and a half wait.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • When printing our invites we forgot to put the reception adddress on them. To me and my FI it's a really easy fix because when the guests call or e-mail back to RSVP we can let them know the location. As well at the ceremony there will be a bulletin board indicating were the reception will be. There is about a hour and a half wait before the reception actually starts. I think this is a good idea so does my FI. Unfortunalty we are on a budget and cant remake the invites so this will have to do. I just wanted to know if you were at a wedding ceremony and this happend or when RSVPing back would you be confused or would it be no issues at all. I think I'm just over thinking it right now because theres less then 2 months left till the big day. Soo nice feedback would be great! I dont need anyone telling me I missed up cause I already know I did LOL Thanks!!
Did you just forget the address or did you neglect to mention the reception at all?  If you neglected to mention the reception at all I would assume you weren't having one and think you were incredibly tacky.  If there was just no address I would assume the reception was taking place at the ceremony venue so I would not be asking about it and would not be looking for it to be posted at the venue.  PP had a good idea about having some insert cards printed up to add to the invites.

As for the hour and a half gap the only way it is a good idea is if it will take people an hour and half to get there.  If it doesn't take that long, well, you and your fi are dead wrong about it being a good idea it's a horrible idea.

  • Did you not mention the reception at all in the invite? Or did you just forget the address, but did mention the name of the reception venue?

  • Oh lovely, another DD.  OP - You DO realize you were quoted, right?

  • @CookiePusher my dog jumps into her pool and bites the water like a goob. It's not anywhere near as cute as that little Shiba

  • @beethery I don't think I've ever seen a puppy ever look so happy and excited about splashing water. It's one of my favorite GIFs ever.

I do! This one looks like my sister's cat (who thinks it is a dog). He climbs into the bathtub and tries to turn the water on so he can get a bath. Every day.
