Veterans Terrance at Echo Park

I was just curious if anyone has been to a wedding there? My fiance has had some work parties there over the years, but doesn't know much more then it's a nice place. Any information it will help. I also noticed they have a preferred vendors with Gooseberries, has anyone done business with them through flowers, catering and bakery? I know if you go through Gooseberries for all three you get a discount and was thinking about doing that but just want a little more information on both places. Thank you for any help.

Veterans Terrace is beautiful.  FILs live in Burlington, so we drive by it quite a bit.  They don't seem to get much business for events such as weddings but I do know someone that got married there and they loved it.
We LOVE LOVE LOVE Gooseberries.  Everything they have there is delicious.  They catered for FBIL's high school graduation and did an awesome job.  I would highly recommend them.

Awesome, thank you. It looks really pretty from what I have seen on their webpage. We are thinking of going to check it out soon. I just want to have something checked off our list and with that being the biggest thing it'd be such a relief. Thank you again for your input.

I thought about having my wedding there and I asked a friends mom and she said the issue with her son's wedding was THE TRAIN!

That makes me wonder if theres a way we can find out the train schedule so we can plan the ceremony around it. I know I want to get married by the lake and is in an area that is in the middle of all locations for our families. It just looks so pretty. We still aren't set on it though, gotta go look at it first.

August 25th, 2012. I know it's awhile away, I just want to get idea's, and most of my fiance's family is from Burlington, I think his uncle use to be a mayor or something. So it'd just be easier picking a spot that's in the middle of Whitewater, West Bend and Kenosha. The only family that'll have to travel far is my dad and his side of the family, they live in Iowa. Another reason I really liked them is because we are having an outdoor ceremony, and an indoor reception.

I wanted Veterans Terrace so bad but they were already booked for my wedding. I have been to a wedding there it is absolutely beautiful and Gooseberries food was amazing. Another thing about Gooseberries is they do cakes, beautiful delicious best I've ever tasted cakes, just a FYI!!!  Another nice thing about Burlington is they just built a new hotel in case some of your guests need an overnight stay.
I had my senior pictures done at Echo park so if you have nice weather you will have a lot of great opportunities. If you are keeping your vendors to that area I would reccommend www.katietomanphotography.com as your photographer.

    Congratulations and happy planning!

I'm hoping we get them since it's so pretty and a lot closer then my other venue of choice up in Hartford (The Chandiler Ballroom). I've heard great things about Gooseberries. My Fiance gets food through them on holidays at work and he loves them. I can't wait to go and try their food when we actually get down to planning everything. But that will finally be able to be started next week or so, my fiance is finally taking the leap and calling my dad to ask for my hand finally. So, hopefully we can finally decide on a place, start saving more (from what I gathered, it's a rental for both indoor and outdoor).
