Has anyone gotten married or planning a wedding in Yosemite? Evergreen Lodge?

Hello ladies, I have been engaged for just over a month now and have started brainstorming/searching for ideas for my wedding. Yosemite is a very special place to me and I am considering a Yosemite wedding. Have any of you gotten married or planning a Yosemite wedding? I’m interested in your suggestions for venue! I’ve been looking at Evergreen Lodge and it looks beautiful… I appreciate your feedback! thanks!

    I am not getting married there, but I was hired to dance at a wedding at the Yosemite Lodge some years ago. It was beautiful.

My fiance and I are getting married at Evergreen Lodge next May, 2015!!! I can hardly wait! Have you visited Evergreen yet? I was sold almost as soon as I got there. My fiance had to get beyond the fire damage that comes up to the edge of the property (he said it just felt so sad!), but once we were there for a day, we both just loved the relaxing feel, the towering trees, the new and fresh pool and hot tub, the convenient and yummy restaurant and tavern on site, and the no cell service so we could truly check out! It is such a great little oasis and so relaxing. 

Our goal was to find a retreat-like place where all of our guests could stay on site for a few days and relax. We loved the cabin feel of it, and it's a great launching spot to the rest of Yosemite. 

When we visited (it was a later weekend in May 2014), there was a wedding going on, so we got a true feel of what it would be like. It was really lovely!!! 

I just cannot WAIT! Let me know if you have any other questions, and best of luck in the venue search! That was the most frustrating part for me. We looked all over, and I was so happy to find Evergreen Lodge, it just clicked and felt totally right for us.

This reads like an advertisement. Are you paying for your guests for a few days? What if they see no cell service as torture (as I would)?

thank you for you reply! It is so beautiful! Unfortunately it ended up being a little out of budget for us. We are now getting married in my home town.

I'm interested in Evergreen Lodgee but they are currently closed for their annual break. Can anyone provide any cost info or other help? Happy to discuss by PM if that's better.  Would be great to hear your experiences in working with them so far.
