Officiant ideas

I'm using someone who is my finances and My best friend. He will be getting officiated for us and has never done it before. However, he told us we need to provide him with what we want said at the ceremony and so forth.

I am so clueless with all this- anyone have any advice or links on what kind of scripts we need to give him? It's a non secular wedding and some what informal.

I know we can choose readings on our own but Wanted to ask for a general idea if anyone has suggestions. Thanks!!

This following site has a bunch of different ceremony samples, reading ideas, things that can be added into a ceremony (and it tells you where to insert them), etc.  We are using the one called "My Favorite Ceremony" as the base for our ceremony in August.  It better fit the tone we were looking for in our ceremony than anything I found on apracticalwedding.com.

We're using the Wedding Ceremony Planner by Judith Johnson to help us get started, then we're supplementing with what we find online. It's a great book!
