What do you ladies think about birdcage veils?

I am on the fence about this. I definitely don't want a traditional veil (personal preference - I just don't like them). So I am trying to decide whether I wear a birdcage veil or no veil. I have seen them look very beautiful, but I have also seen some pretty weird looking ones.

If I do get one, I was thinking something like this:

Here is my dress and the headband i have already bought. If I do a birdcage, I would either put it under, or attach to the headband.

I think that is quite nice but depends most on the dress and of the style compliments it. Perhaps you can post a picture or describe?

I personally LOVE the look of a birdcage veil! I plan on wearing one myself - likely attached to a feathery, flowery type of adornment. However, I recently realized that there are quite a few different types (different netting and different lengths). Last week I actually googled "different types of birdcage veils" to get a better idea of the options and you're right - there are some that just look strange! I tend to like the ones that cover just the eye or to just under the nose (like the photo you posted). & I absolutely think you could pull it off with that dress.

I think it would look great on you! Not everyone can pull them off, IMHO.

Try one on.  I loved the idea of a birdcage veil until I tried it on.  I just didn't have the right 'look' for it.

I am a huge fan of the birdcage veil.  Your dress definitely lends itself to one.  Another option would be to incorporate the look of your waist sash into your headband.

Love your dress! I love the look of birdcage veils and your dress would go great with one. Agreed some styles are just weird.

I love birdcage veils but dislike when they're worn improperly. Be sure to set yours so it doesn't shoot straight up! 

Your dress is lovely, BTW.

I think a birdcage veil would compliment your dress perfectly. Definitely try it on first. I am like PP, I thought I wanted one but looked silly in it. 

And I love your dress as well!

That dress is gorgeous and I love birdcage veils. I'm not sure if I want to wear one during my ceremony/reception but I definitely want one for pictures!

I'm not super traditional so I am considering a COLORED birdcage veil. It adds a little drama and this one matches her hair. xoxoxo

Eh I'm not a huge fan of bird cage veils but that is mainly V's doing. I just like caged veils and not really traditional ones either. But if you love it, go for it! You will look awesome!
