Adding color to tables

So our venue only has white linens (table cloths and napkins)... They told us we can order napkins in our colors through one of their vendors.. which really isnt too pricey. But i was wondering what other people have done to add a little color, besides centerpieces.  (our centepeices are babys breath and lanterns)

I bought fabric for one party and made smaller versions of overlays (it was way less expensive than renting overlays) and for another (beach theme) I found hibiscus print bandanas on Orientaltrading.com and used them as napkins.  I don't sew, so I used a product that holds the hem for the overlay by ironing it on (found at Michaels). I also love votive candles and they come in every color of the rainbow, plus the glass holders are not too pricey either at Ikea or Dollar Tree.  Are you doing a printed menu for each place setting?  That can be done on a pretty colored paper.

What kind of vase will be used? If you haven't purchased them yet, you can use colored vases or tie colored ribbon around clear or white vases if you already have them. 

Also, table numbers can go in colored frames. If you're using candles, consider colored votives.

Darn you! You inspired me, and I just bought some royal blue organza tables runners! They ended up being about $1.20 a piece. I also ordered some bright pink organza favor bags. That ought to brighten up our tables

I am using both sheer organza overlays and printed menus to add color to the tables.

Instead of a colored napkin (which I think has been done quite a bit, and just didn't want to do it myself) we're getting a cobalt blue water glass for each place setting. 

Our escort cards are colored glass (mostly purple) votive candle holders I'm going to put an electronic tea-light in--found some great deals on both so is only a little over a dollar per person. This will double as the favor. And triple as more color on the tables. And quadruple as soft, pretty candle lighting!

@MandyMost-I did that for my daughter's wedding but used real candles.  There were personalized matchboxes at each place setting.  When guests sat down, they lit their candles, which became part of the centerpieces.

@Alikat9614 did you get them from the CVLinens website?  We are using a bright cobalt/royal blue and I have been trying to figure out how to bring more color in since blue flowers are both somewhat impossible and expensive.  This would be perfect!
