Cruise Queen books another one!

I'm going to Bangkok, Singapore, Java, Bali, and Komodo Island early next year!  This is the most exotic cruise we've ever done!  Woo-hoo!

  • Wow sounds like a great trip! Have fun.
  • Quite exciting!!!

  • DH and I are almost ready to book a cruise for our 1st anniversary in January.  Ours won't be that exotic.  :)

We are looking at RCI Navigator of the Seas out of Galveston.  Roatan, Belize City and Cozumel are the port stops...

We will be visiting these ports plus Costa Maya in January on our RCI cruise out of Tampa.

Which cruise?  I'm not crazy about leaving out of Galveston because of the fog and the hassle of getting to the ship from Houston...

Thanks!  I priced it out and over all costs (excursions, transportation, ground transportation) are within a few hundred dollars of each other.  I'm leaning towards the Vision since it is a lot easier to cruise in/out of Tampa than Galveston, but I would like to be on another cruise with a Flo Rider.  That thing is fun!

  • Sounds like fun!  DH and I are trying to plan our next vacation for the fall and we're all over the world map.  We can't decide.

I'm booked on this cruise 11/2/14!  If you're going to book, make sure you do it before the buy one get one half off deal ends!
  • Sounds exciting! We're headed on our 3rd in 2 weeks.

  • With the baby?!  Cruises are addictive, aren't they?

  • That sounds like a nice trip.  I am trying to talk my mom into going on a family cruise ship. She is worried that my two year old nephew will fall overboard.
  • Tell her that it is almost impossible.  There are occasional suicides on cruise ships, but nobody can fall overboard unless they are doing something INCREDIBLY STUPID!!!  Like climbing up on the four foot high balcony railing.  If they try that, there are cameras on the side of the ship that will see them, and they will quickly be visited by ship's security!

The majority of people who go overboard either want to (suicide) or they're drunken idiots who have no common sense.  It's very, very rare that anyone goes overboard.
  • Have you done Celebrity's Norwegian Fjords?  We're thinking of that one as our next with two days on the front in London, and two at the end in Paris.

No baby is too little. My mom wanted to take her vacation time and spend it with him at home so she convinced us we needed some alone time. We are already planning his first cruise next year. DH is now convinced it's the best way to vacation!

  • Cruising works for my DH.  He is a nervous traveler!  He knows that he can eat steak every night and not worry about his camera that he left in the cabin while we went to dinner.  Norwegian fjords is definitely on our list!  I understand that it has become very popular sine the success of "Frozen".  We really liked the Russian-Baltic cruise two years ago.
I never had anyone to help me with our babies.  You are so lucky!

DH and I did this cruise June 1-8 for our Honeymoon.  It was really great and we are already trying to plan our next cruise to take next year, and book through the buy one get one half off sale!  It was my third cruise and DH's first - he is set on vacationing this way for now on!
  • OMG!  My daughter just e-mailed me this one!

I sure hope everybody on board this ship is into LARP!

I tried to tell her but she doesn't believe me. But have a great trip! I would love to hear about it when you get back.
