A few months ago my stepmother wanted to buy me a unity candle set. I don't want to do a unity candle ceremony, but I liked the candles and said we could use them for decoration. I'd planned on putting them on the head table. As it turns out, though, the historic barn we're having the reception in doesn't allow open flame, understandably. Would it look silly to use the candles but keep them unlit? Or should I just forget about it and save them for something else? I can't think of any other way I could use them.
