Wishful RSVP Thinking Rant

We sent out our invitations last week and I was hoping to not to have a lot of the RSVP problems discribed on here - wishful thinking I know.  Yesterday I got one back for a friend that added an extra person and didn't list who they were.  She was invited solo because she will know many people there and isn't in any relationship, but we figured she wanted someone to drive with (1.5 hours).  Before doing anything my FI and I talked it over and decided it wouldn't be too much of an issue, we have the space.  All in all, we can accomodate but from all the posts on here why does it seem so hard for people to RSVP correctly??

I'd say this is pretty minor compared to some of the craziness I've read here, but I agree that it is frustrating. My big this was people not sending them back. Like I don't know how to make it easier on you since the address is done & is stamped.

@RebeccaFlower I've already had people ask if they really have to send them back.  Agreed, it's already stamped and addressed - is it that hard to stick it in the mailbox?  I know we will have to follow up with a lot of people, I'm prepared for that.

If someone finds a fool proof way for RSVPs I think they'd make a fortune!

  • Your friend should have asked first, but is very nice of you and your FI to accomodate her.
