Cheap Cake? Lake Geneva

I am my sister's wedding planer.
She is getting married in Lake Geneva and we originally had planned that a lady from our church would do her cake, and on a discount.... but she was booked for another wedding... bummer!
Now we need a new place to find a cake.
She is on a tight budget and any ideas would be so appreciated.

    I know Gooseberries in Burlington does cakes...I think they have relatively cheap cakes.  

    Have you guys thought about making your own or doing a cupcake wedding cake?  That would be something you could easily do and they are really popular right now.  Here's a link of someone who made their own cake for their sister's wedding that was on a $5000 budget.  It turned out really well!


    Project wedding has a TON of good ideas for brides on a budget, so hopefully you can find things that work for you!

    I am using Robin's Nest Cakery out of Kenosha, she is brand new to the business, her cake wasn't the most polished looking but the flavor and price was awesome.

    Cakes by Dea out of Marengo, IL.  http://www.cakesbydea.com. I am using her, and my sister used her for her wedding.  Inexpensive cakes that are DELICIOUS!  Free delivery to the Lake Geneva area!
