And if the bell were anything like the Ghostbusters bell I would have rung it cheerfully.

I got a dress yesterday!! It was actually at the first bridal shop my mom and I went to, but we kept our other appointments just to see if there was anything that could beat it. That was worth doing as we learned things about length - I had an ankle-length dress on that was a really cute length on me. So now I'm not sure whether I'm hemming it to tea length or ankle length, but I have somewhere to start from.

There aren't any pictures of me in the dress because we had to use my mom's phone and her camera is bad, but when it comes in I'm going to bring my dad along and his camera is much better. So for now, the model:

Thanks, Beth! It actually wasn't - it was a more square neckline, more of an A-line skirt, much poofier. More of a tulle-and-lace construction. It was very pretty, though, and if I didn't already have this one in mind it would have been my first choice. I think taking this one to the ankle might be a really good idea because it'll keep a lot of the flare in the skirt, give it a little "kick" at the bottom.

The alterations lady at the bridal salon was awesome - she pinned it up to tea length (mid-calf) while I had it on so we could get an idea of what it would look like and was just really pleasant and informative. Overall, it was a much more pleasant experience and I'm glad I went out again!
