Re: busy week that was...

  • How exciting!

I've been in a funk since that fateful rafting trip.  I stayed off the TK for about 5-6 days.   Tried to exercise and get out more. It's helped a little, but I'm still not myself. Oh and my boss has been in the hospital.  That has worried me also.  If anything happens I need to find another job, as I refuse to work for his son.

DH has been super busy. Crazy, non-stop-busy.   Spends about 2 waking hours at home these days.   He hasn't had time to process what happened yet.  And not another cook quit because "the restaurant is too busy".  Seriously, they do about 60 covers a night for 3 months.  Because it's temporary they make really good money.  Still not good enough.    It's really sad people do not want to work these days.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • Congrats on booking your venue and paying off your cake!! Its such a great feeling :)

  • thanks ladies!! :) I am excited for everything even the hard to manage things

  • @lyndausvi I hope things settle down at you DH's job. It sounds like a rough couple days/weeks.

Fi has been working +12hrs this week up until July 18th for a new client so I can imagina how hard it is on you. I have barely been able to talk to him because of that a him being sick.
