 I am officially enjoying the weekend!! Work was slow, and I was able to bow out early! Ya ya! 

 We don't have much planned for tonight! Friends of ours are attending a wedding this eve, in which we're DDing for them later tonight. Going to go pick them up at 1, and H will drive them back in our vehicle, and I'm going to bring their car back to our house. Then they're just crashing here. Breakfast is on them in the a.m, so I'm game! Lol

 Then tomorrow is another friend's Bday party. (Who was also the best man at our wedding). Not too sure what the plan is, but we've cleared the eve for that! His g/f doesn't really "allow" him to drink, so I think he's kinda postponing plans, hoping we'll all plan something, then it's unintentional if there happens to be alcohol. Ugh, his g/f, (as much as she's a nice person, when it isn't to do with him), drives us all nuts. Has him on the shortest leash of all time..! Not that there needs to be alcohol, but he's made it fairly clear that he wants to go "out". So who knows!

 Other than that, just enjoying the summer weather! H will be home in about an hour and a half. So I'm going to get dinner going pretty soon!

I went to the doctor today, and got a relatively clean bill of health. And a TDAP. Tonight we're playing board games with some friends. Tomorrow I work, and then Sunday we're going to church, possibly lunch with my parents and /or a baseball game.

I'm going to hit up the gym after work. Then shower and meet FI and his coworkers for a drink. Normally I would have met mine, but I have not gone out in a while and now apparently the hotspot is some bar that's a long walk from here. I think I'm going to try to set up an appointment to go dress shopping tomorrow, and then either tomorrow night or Sunday we are going to visit my parents. I would much rather go tomorrow because Sunday is the Pride parade, and my neighborhood is so much fun then! So we have to figure that one out. Other than that my day is dragging right now.

Going for ice cream tonight; we're staying in on Sunday, as it is supposed to rain, and doing laundry.  Not sure what I'll do on Saturday, probably not a whole lot.

I'm working/studying most of the weekend, but taking a few breaks for the following things:

-- Spin class with Fi tomorrow morning

-- Quick trip to the mall to return something at Lulu and maybe shop a bit (@pumpkinsandturkeys I always think of you when I shop LLL.  I tried the "trouser pants" and they are horrifying.  Do not attempt!)

-- Pool for a couple of hours on Sunday morning before the kiddos take it over

Going to try to convince FI to take a bike ride to the Farmer's Market tomorrow morning... might get suckered into helping my mom clean out her house (long story, likely rant coming soon), but I'd rather go check out the pool at the rec center we joined yesterday... our town's fireworks show is Sunday night and we always hang out with some friends at a sort of "VIP" area (he volunteers for the city fair that puts on the fireworks, so he gets guest passes and we get free dinner and drinks).

And if the weekend is anything like the past couple days, OPENING PRESENTS and sending thank you cards like a madwoman. Holy crap the UPS man must hate me. Shower invites went out last week and now I'm getting deluged with gifts. I was in NO WAY expecting this and it's blowing my mind a little bit. Showers are the 13th and 19th.

Not too much planned for this weekend since FI has to work both Saturday and Sunday mornings. I really wanted to go to this huge jazz fest this weekend that takes place every year in our area every year but with FI working it's just not going to work out. We're going to look at wedding bands for me tomorrow afternoon and do some other shopping. Other than that we've got nothing going on. I may try and get a room or two painted in our house and do some major weeding outside.

@JCbride2015 -- I just bought sooo much stuff from Lulu! Okay, not SO much... But enough haha. They opened an outlet within an hour of us, so Hubs (so weird calling him that instead of FI!) took me there last weekend to get some comfy summer stuff since I'll be living in stretchy clothes for a while (thanks, hip surgery). I ended up getting the Hot Hitter Skort in white and floral (super cute!), another Vinyasa scarf in an ivory/green stripe, the Be Present Pullover in deep shore/earl grey, and the Serenity pant in heathered grey (which are pretty much the comfiest things to ever grace my legs/butt haha).

As for my plans this weekend... I get to start learning how to walk and do stairs again post-surgery, starting today! I also get to move back home starting Sunday, as I've been camped out at my parents' bungalow for 3 weeks while on bed rest, since Hubs and I don't have a main floor bathroom and I haven't been allowed to do stairs until now or put any weight on my right leg. And on Sunday afternoon, we have a BBQ with my BIL and SIL, which I'm super excited for because it will mark the fourth time I've left the house in 3 weeks haha.

Future in-laws are in town this weekend!  I love them so much and am so stoked to see them.  One reason may or may not be the amazing FMIL food cooks.  Sorry, diet.

Besides spending time with FI's parents and sisters, I'm blocking out some time on Sunday for a nice, long run.  I haven't done more than 3-ish miles since my half marathon in May and physically/mentally I NEED to put in some miles.

Going shopping tonight to get FI some clothes for engagement pics on Sunday (yay!).  I got my dress from Modcloth and I know there's hate on high-low dresses but I love this so much! 

Tomorrow we clean my old house and do yard work because Sunday the realtors are coming to take pics so we an finally get this place on the market!  The deck needs stained bad, but we've been either busy or there's been chances of rain so that's just going to have to wait until the weather cooperates. 

 

Maybe we'll go see Jersey Boys on Sunday afternoon.

Happy Friday. I'm finished work for the day. Took the dogs to the dog park. Not sure why, they just hid under the picnic table. I took a filet out for dinner. Now I need to decide if I want to bike to the store for some fresh veggies and potato or just mircowave some frozen corn. Trying to decide if I should drink some wine. Tomorrow and Sunday is all about driving the beverage cart. DH is, of course, working all weekend. With any luck he will get out early one of the nights.

This weekend will be a mostly plan free weekend, but we always manage to be busy. Tomorrow I'd like to deep clean my kitchen and bathrooms while FI sleeps in. Then the gym. Instead of our usually pool time I'm meeting up with a couple of my girl friends to take our kids to the splash park. If I'm not too tired and nothing else comes up I'll work on /hopefully finish daughter's flower girl dress.

Then Sunday is a wedding planning day. Go order wedding bands, finalize invites to be mailed on Monday (I feel so being on this) and the most exciting part is I'm test making truffles and caramels for favors. Yay chocolate!

I have a busy weekend attend. And it is all going to be in the garage. Husband is installing the new headunit in my car. Super excited! I'm going to have blue tooth and pandora and waze! I can't wait. And I in turn, am detailing his car, and maybe mine if I have time. 

And it's going to be 108 this weekend. Gunna have to hard-line the swamp cooler to keep from overheating!

I gotta make a key lime pie for FFIL tonight. I'm not a fan of them just showing up unannounced, but dude showed up with the sole purpose of mowing the lawn because he knows FI has not been able to get to it and is about to go on a set of 8 night shifts. That was super nice of FFIL, so he gets a pie.

We are supposed to get an AC for upstairs, and probably hit the grocery store. Then we are probably going to go hang out with Kool-Aid Man and his oddly snooty drunk family. yeeeey.

Happy Friday!!!  Today was the official last day of work (kids finished yesterday).  I spent the afternoon on a patio drinking beer in the sun and am no on summer vacation!!  2 fucking months off!!  Whoop!!  However, we have to be up at 5:30 tomorrow morning cos my SIL is running a triathlon and we always get roped into volunteering.  We're there at 6am.  Boo.  I can't wait till she stops organizing it so I never have to go again.

Last night I just lounged on the couch watching NetFlix. I've worked 12 days straight, 10 hours most days, and the commute has been rough in the pm because of accidents/car pool lane checks/holiday "weekend" (Tuesday is a holiday in Canada so lots of people take Monday off as well) so I needed to just do nothing but watch mindless tv. I've got to go to work today and tomorrow to monitor the progress of my experiment which sucks. I need some new yoga clothes so I'm going to hit up the Lululemon outlet on my way home, and pick up a FitBit. I'm giving a research talk next week so I've got to get my slides ready and practice what I'm saying this weekend. DH and I are planning our shore excursions for our honeymoon and making plans on what to do for 5 days in Europe at the end of our honeymoon.

We're almost done moving! We have to go back to get our trash cans and empty the fridge, but then we are all set.

Now to organize things. FFIL and FBIL helped us do all the heavy lifting, but they just piled everything in the dining room and now I have to move it all.

I loved that you're close to done getting everything out of the old house lol I don't love that you're at the halfway point of moving everything else around! I'm so happy that you're about to fully settle into your new place though! 

I am not looking forward to the moving process, whenever that happens. It is going to be a shit show.

I have only one suggestion: label your boxes well. I got lazy and just started writing "Fragile" on the fragile ones, with no idea of which room they went to. Thus they all ended up in the dining room.
