  • I honestly wouldn't worry about their outside shoe choice.  Like Southernbelle said just tell your BMs your day of plans and I am sure they are all smart women who will check the weather and make sure that they are dressed appropriately for standing outside.

  • As far as footwear goes, pretty much any color would go with the blue you selected - gold, silver, nude - I might stay away from black because that might look a little harsh with the lace overlay.  Unless you go with something dramatic (boot or flashy color), nobody will really notice their shoes anyway.

  • If you don't want to tell people what to wear, then don't. Give them guidelines. As others have said, explain the situation and ask them to get shoes in a neutral palette that they like. Done. Don't try to micromanage every aspect of their look just because you feel like you're "supposed to".
