affordable reception venues in northwest GA

I am looking for a wedding/reception venue in northwest GA (between Atlanta and Chattanooga). I have a VERY small wedding budget (3,000). Unconventional venue ideas are always welcome. We have a church picked out for the actual wedding, so we could do a reception only venue or something that can accommodate both.

    Does your church have some sort of fellowship hall you could host your reception in after the feremony? My friend had a comparable budget to yours and it worked out very well for them! They had dinner and dancing (iPod music) and even a chocolate fountain.

    Otherwise I'd try researching local VFW halls near your church or even parks if your wedding will be during a nice time of year. Lake Alltoona would probably have some very scenic picnic pavilions that you could use for a smaller wedding (like less than 80 guests).
