HOLY CRAP. Invites Mailed Yesterday!

I dropped our invitations off at the post office yesterday. I am very anxious about them getting to where they belong. All these anxious thoughts about whether or not the postage on them was correct, or the address written right, names spelled correctly, etc. WHEW. I am just excited and nervous all at the same time.

On a side note, I have zero way to contact any member of my family on my Mother's side. After my grandma's passing last year they have all lost touch with my brothers, father, and me. I am sad that none of my invites were for any of my Mom's side of the family but I have tried to Facebook message and Text a few of my cousins to try and get their addresses/information and never received a response. So, I feel bad that they are essentially being "left out," but there's nothing else I can do.

The next moment of excitement will be when I get my first RSVP back! EEK!

Re: HOLY CRAP. Invites Mailed Yesterday!

  • Congrats!! I just mailed ours out on Friday. Did you have the PO weigh them before you sent them? I think if they are over 1 oz they require additional postage. We had ours weighed before we sent them.

I was super anxious once I dropped them off to the PO. I have no idea why. I guess I was afraid that I forgot to include something, spelled something wrong....who knows. I can't wait to start getting response cards back though!

  • I did. I had the envelopes weighed when I purchased the stamps, and then asked (politely) that they verify the postage is accurate yesterday when I dropped them off. LOL! Luckily it wasn't the same people working so they wouldn't think I was some sort of nut-job. :)

Congrats on mailing yours as well!

  • I mailed mine yesterday as well!!! :) My biggest fear is somehow some of them getting lost in the mail...So, fingers crossed everyone receives them.  Congrats to us!
  • I mailed mine last week and have already gotten back 7 RSVPs!  It is pretty exciting, even though I already knew that most of them were coming.  It is good to know that they went through the mail alright and that the RSVP cards are coming back to us without issue.  Knock on wood!
  • We mailed ours yesterday, too! I can't to start getting rsvps back! :-)
