Re: I think we all can relate

  • So not wedding related but along the same lines.

I used to work in foster care and part of my job was training foster parents. So I would hold classes on Saturdays or Sundays to accommodate work schedules.  The classes were mandatory but they didn't all have to take the same one, I would usually hold one a month sometimes two.  So I told a parent when the next class was and that she could call the office to sign her and her husband up.  She wasn't sure they could make it so she asked if they could just show up. I explained to her that there was a maximum number of people that could attend the class and if I was at that number and they showed up I would have to send them home. I also needed a minimum number to hold the class and if I didn't have that I would cancel the class and if they were not on the list they would not be informed it was canceled. And building on that the class could be canceled for other reasons and again I don't call people who aren't on the list to let them know that we aren't having class.

  • Love it.

But also, let me channel Cher Horowitz:
"But people came to the party who like, did not RSVP. So I had to run to the kitchen, rearrange some things, but at the end of the day it was like, the more the merrier.  ...................... Let me remind you that it does NOT say RSVP on the Statue of Liberty!"
