New Kitty

So we got a new kitty about a month ago. She's wicked adorable, doesn't have any bad habits except if you're doing something she doesn't like she'll look you right in the eye as she slow motion "bites" you. I say bites in quotations because it's in such slow motion it doesn't hurt.

 Anyway. The point of the story - please feel free to laugh at my stupidity. Last night kitten knocked a glass off the counter. I heard it crash at like 2 am and ran downstairs to clean it up before she hurt herself but then was wide awake until like, 7. Fast forward to when my alarm does NOT go off and I wake up at 8:30. I live about 45 minutes from work and I start at 9. I'm rushing around like a chicken with my head cut off and what do I do? I give kitty a scoop full of treats instead of a scoop full of dry food, and then when I realize I'm holding the treat bag and not the food bag, I drop it - spilling treats everywhere. So I accept defeat for the morning, go to brush my teeth and what do I do? Put deodorant on my tooth brush.

 And that, my friends, is why Wine Wednesday turned into Double Rum and Coke Wednesdays that started at 9:30 AM.

 ETA: TK won't give my paragraphs back and I'm a little annoyed about it.

 ETA Again: Look, it's my kitty in a box.

  • Haha!
    What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • @scribe95‌ I chuckled at that. You're probably right on what the cat was thinking.

    Our two cats give H a hard time most nights and early mornings. They know exactly what wakes him up and what they need to do for food and attention from him.

    @loveislouder‌ your kitten is adorable!

  • Aww cute kitten!  If my female cat wanted attention she used to knock over the lamp that sits on my nightstand (thankfully I have two pillows on my side of the bed so I never got a direct shot from the lampshade) but I did end up basically clamping the lamp to the nightstand to prevent her antics!

    Our other cat will walk from the foot of the bed to our chests, lay on one of us and just start poking us in the face with his paw if he wants something.

    Yes they are spoiled beyond belief ;-)
