Yeah it's only thursday, but let's talk weekend plans

Office is letting us go at 2 pm woohoo! Caveat is we aren't supposed to take our lunch, so I may get me some chipotle on my way home. Dh and I need to clean up the rest of the house today so we can spend tomorrow doing anything but housekeeping stuff.

May be getting together with inlaws for grilling drinks etc tomorrow or Saturday. No idea for certain.

Rest of weekend will probably be spent exercising studying and hwlping dh with a written project assignment (ie proofreading and grammar editing). Id like to celebrate outside but we are in the muggy gross phase of summer here.

As a holiday bonus, jammed finger turned out to be subtly broken finger. No water activities or anything requiring extensive use of right hand for me. At least its the right hand- in a lefty. Extra points- its my middle finger. Im having sooo much fun showing it off to my fellow attorneys

Saturday is all about house projects.  We need to seriously clean our garage because it is a disaster area.  We are also going to do a stone border around our back patio and fill it in with some more rubber mulch to finish it off.

Sunday you can find me on my deck with a cold drink in my hand soaking in the sunshine.

@Maggie0829 I'm soooo jealous you get to go see an Orioles game. We have their minor league team and go to their games all the time. I got to see the exhibition game against the two, but it rained out after 5 innings. boo! My Manchado jersey is dying to see a real game.... I got promised we'll go to indians vs orioles once we move.

@melbelleup - The O's have actually not been doing half bad this season.  Sad to say that the real Machado's jersey won't be seeing another 2 games due to his "throwing a bat" suspension.  But I do love going to good O's game every once in a while.  Between the waffle crab dip fries they serve, Pickle's Pub before hand, and screaming "O!" during the national anthem, it is a great time!

@Doeydo, FWIW all the shower gifts I've gotten so far were signed from both members of the couple, and I wrote thank you cards to both accordingly. That surprised me, since I always give shower gifts just from me. But, I suppose I haven't been to any showers since I've been engaged, so maybe that's more common than I thought. IDK.

We're doing absolutely nothing tomorrow. On Saturday I have a family thing. It will be fun tons of food, atvs, a pool. Yay! Sunday and Monday we're doing stuff around the house.

Headed to our family's lakehouse tonight once my brother gets off work (poor guy is dirt poor so he's hitching a ride with me & DH).  Then a weekend of beer, BBQ, and boating.  I'm most looking forward to the fact that my laptop will be at home!

The ONLY good thing about working tomorrow night?  Holiday pay.

The bad part?  Fielding fireworks complaints.  All.  Night.  Long.

What I wish - An automated answering system to this effect:  Yeah.  We get it, there is a city ordinance.  But MAYBE the police have something better to do than harass your neighbor's kids for playing with sparklers - every 15 minutes.  And no, calling us every 10 minutes won't help things, either.  It's the 4th of July.  People are shooting them all over town.  Unless we can actually catch them in the act, very little we can do about it.  Suck it up, buttercup.  It's one night."

Today is our "'versary" (2 years, 5 months) - we usually get Chinese food and watch TV, sometimes I wear the dress that I wore on our first date, but it's too cold for that.

Tomorrow I have to go to the bank and see about closing out my credit card. We'll probably finish catching up on Doctor Who when we get back.

Sunday is "project" day. I'm going to attempt to finish FMIL's painting, and get our invitations and inserts ready for FI to print up so I can spend the next couple of weeks assembling and addressing. FI will probably work on the game he's building.

We're boring.
