Engagement Picture Locations

So excited to have Rachel Buckley be doing my engagement pictures next weekend.

I am going for a vintage/antique feel for my wedding, so would love to portray that in my engagement pictures as well.  Does anybody have any location suggestions?

Also, how do pictures go with Rachel?  Are they posed a lot or does she just capture spur of the moment pictures?  Not really sure what to wear either!!

So, if you have any input on engagement pictures (and Rachel), let me know!!

Where in Wisconsin are you?  It is a big state.

Ditto previous poster as to where in WI are you?

Also, if you've booked the photographer for a shoot, you should have already seen her work and know what style she shoots in...so it confuses me thst you don't already know if she does candid or posed pictures or a mix of them.

If you wear a pattern, make sure the print is on the smaller side, as a bigger print can get too busy with different backgrounds.  Try to stay away from black or white as they are the hardest colors to shoot.

Wear complimentary but not matchy matchy outfits.  Bring a variety with that you can layer or easily change into.

Just let her know up front how much input you want. I know a lot of people don't like much direction from their photographer at all.

In our case, my husband and I wanted more direction, so that's what we asked for. We didn't feel posed at all though, just that how we are naturally together was improved upon a bit.

    Have fun!
